SAS Teaching Assistant Training
The Center for Teaching and Learning coordinates the SAS
TA Training Program.
From August 27-August 29 , 2008 all new TAs from SAS will
participate in a three-day workshop on teaching and
learning. Workshop
topics include:
- Presenting Yourself as a TA
- Leading Discussions
- Grading in the Humanities and Qualitative Social Sciences
- Grading in the Sciences and Quantitative Social Sciences
- Recitations in the Sciences and Quantitative Social Sciences
- Leading Effective Lab Sessions
- Challenges Facing TAs
2008 Schedule of Sessions.
Each participant will ten-minute teaching
presentation which will be discussed by fellow teaching assistants. In addition, participants will participate in follow up workshops.
