Penn's Teaching Handbook

Teaching at Penn is a wonderful challenge.  The students are bright and often excited about learning and your colleagues are the best in their fields.

For detailed information on policies governing teaching at Penn, consult the Pennbook.  You may also need the academic calendar for planning purposes.

This handbook is intended to be a reference work and so not something you read from cover to cover.  You may find some sections more relevant to your teaching than others and you may want to consult some sections as necessary throughout the semester.  Above all use this handbook as a place to start thinking about your teaching and finding some good ideas about what works (and what does not) for you.

If you have further teaching questions, please contact CTL at ctl-help@sas.upenn.edu.
