Teaching Theory. How To Present Complex Ideas and Analytic Thinking

Professor: Ellen Kennedy
Convener: Barbara Elias, CTL Graduate Fellow, Political Science

How do you take complicated issues and make them accessible to the uninitiated (such as an undergraduate)? How do you teach new students how to think differently so they can approach theory? What are the challenges and opportunities presented by teaching theoretical issues to students new to these ideas and styles of thinking?

All graduate students and faculty are welcome but this event grows out of concerns in Political Science and so may be most useful to students in related fields.

Counts toward the CTL teaching certificate.
