What does it mean to approach your field of research and teaching as a framework for students’ intellectual growth? What should students be able to do and how should they be able to think as a result of study in your specific course? Recent work on the scholarship of teaching and learning considers specific disciplines as contexts for student learning. This workshop will explore ways of engaging both novice and advanced students in the practice of your discipline while still addressing mastery of the content of a course.
