Teaching Your Large Lecture Class
Announcing the Teaching Large Lectures seminar series for 2009-10.
Organized by the Center for Teaching and Learning, this seminar series will bring together a regular group of faculty for monthly conversations about ways to make large lecture classes valuable for students as well as rewarding for faculty. Each session will focus on a particular topic and will be led by faculty noted for their lecturing and work with large classes. Discussions will offer faculty strategies to consider and the chance to talk with fellow faculty about their own ideas, practices and questions.
All faculty – whether new to or experienced with teaching large lecture classes – are invited to attend. Faculty who become core members of the seminar will participate monthly and may, at some point during the year, observe a colleague teaching.
